Zane Smith's professional racing career began to take shape in the ARCA Menards Series, where he achieved his first major breakthrough by finishing runner-up in the 2018 championship standings while driving for MDM Motorsports.
Smith moved into the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series with GMS Racing, where he established himself as a consistent championship contender. He finished second in the series standings in both 2020 and 2021, demonstrating remarkable consistency at the highest level of truck racing.
The pinnacle of Smith's NASCAR career came in 2022 when he captured the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship while driving for Front Row Motorsports, cementing his status as one of the sport's rising stars.
