Mick Schumacher
Early Life

Born and raised in Switzerland on March 22, 1999, Mick Junior Schumacher comes from one of motorsport's most legendary families. He is the son of seven-time Formula One World Drivers' Champion Michael Schumacher and equestrian Corinna Betsch, as well as the nephew of former Formula One driver Ralf Schumacher and the cousin of sportscar racing driver David Schumacher.
Initially competing under the pseudonyms Mick Betsch and Mick Junior to establish his own identity separate from his famous surname, Schumacher began his racing journey in karting, finishing runner-up to Enaam Ahmed at the junior World and European Championships in 2014.
Junior Career
Graduating to junior formulae in 2015, Schumacher quickly established himself as a rising talent. In 2016, he finished runner-up in both the ADAC F4 and Italian F4 championships, demonstrating his consistency across different series.
After finishing third in the MRF Challenge Championship, Schumacher moved to FIA European Formula 3, where he achieved his breakthrough by winning the championship with Prema. This success paved the way for his progression to FIA Formula 2 in 2019, where he would go on to claim the title in his 2020 campaign with Prema, cementing his status as one of Europe's most promising young drivers.
Racing Career
Schumacher's professional career took a significant step forward when he joined the Ferrari Driver Academy in 2019. He served as a test driver for both Alfa Romeo and Haas in 2020, before securing a full-time Formula One seat with Haas for 2021.
Making his Formula One debut at the Bahrain Grand Prix alongside Nikita Mazepin, Schumacher's rookie season was challenging as Haas failed to score points all season with the VF-21. His season-best result was twelfth place in Hungary. The 2022 season brought better fortunes when he partnered Kevin Magnussen, scoring his maiden Formula One points finish at the British Grand Prix, followed by a career-best sixth place at the Austrian Grand Prix.
After a series of high-profile crashes, Schumacher was released by Haas at the end of 2022. He spent 2023 as a reserve driver for both Mercedes and McLaren before leaving both positions in 2024. Transitioning to endurance racing, Schumacher joined Alpine in the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2024, achieving his maiden podium finish at the 6 Hours of Fuji. He continued his success in 2025 with further podiums at the 6 Hours of Imola and Spa-Francorchamps before making the move to the IndyCar Series in 2026, where he now drives the No. 47 Dallara–Honda for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing.
