Bezzecchi burst onto the Italian motorcycle racing scene in 2014 as runner-up in the CIV Moto3 championship. He demonstrated immediate championship caliber by going one better in his second year, capturing the 2015 CIV Moto3 title with an impressive seven race victories.

His transition to the world stage began with two appearances in the Moto3 World Championship with San Carlo Team Italia in 2015. In 2016, he expanded his world championship experience with two additional races for Mahindra Racing, while also showing strong form in the FIM CEV Repsol series and winning in both his CIV appearances back in Italy.

Racing Career

Bezzecchi made the full-time leap to Moto3 World Championship competition in 2017, partnering with compatriot and former CIV rival Manuel Pagliani at CIP. Despite narrowly missing out on Rookie of the Year honors, he secured his first world championship podium finish, establishing himself as a rising talent.

The 2018 season marked Bezzecchi's breakthrough campaign after moving to Redox PruestelGP. His exceptional performance included nine podium finishes and three victories, mounting a serious lightweight class title challenge against eventual champion Jorge Martin. Though he fell just short of the championship, his hugely impressive Moto3 campaign earned him promotion to Moto2 with Red Bull KTM Tech 3 for the 2019 season.
