Born on October 9, 2004, in Barbados, Kyffin Simpson represents the Cayman Islands in international motorsport competition. At just 19 years old, he has already made the leap to one of motorsport's premier categories, showcasing the global reach of modern racing talent.
Racing Career
Simpson's rapid ascent to IndyCar began with his role as development driver for Chip Ganassi Racing over two seasons, gaining valuable experience and proving his capabilities to one of the sport's most successful teams. His first taste of IndyCar machinery came in January 2023, when he completed his inaugural NTT IndyCar Series test at Sebring International Raceway.
Following the conclusion of the 2023 IndyCar season, Chip Ganassi Racing rewarded Simpson's development work by promoting him to a full-time IndyCar seat for 2024. The announcement marked a significant milestone for both the young driver and Caribbean motorsport representation in America's premier open-wheel championship.
Beyond IndyCar, Simpson has also expanded his racing portfolio to include endurance racing, competing in the European Le Mans Series with Algarve Pro Racing, demonstrating his versatility across different racing disciplines and formats.
