Jorge Martín Almoguera was born on 29 January 1998 in Madrid, Spain. His journey into motorcycle racing began at a grassroots level with minimoto cups, where he would take his first competitive steps in motorsport. This early exposure to racing would lay the foundation for what would become a rapidly ascending career in motorcycle racing.

Junior Career

Martín's talent emerged early when he claimed his first title in the 'Alevin Minimotos Championship' in Madrid in 2008, establishing himself as a promising young rider. His progression continued as he made the leap to international competition in 2012, debuting in the prestigious Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup.

The Madrid-born rider showed immediate promise in the Rookies Cup, finishing as runner-up in the series in 2013. After two successful seasons of adaptation to international competition, Martín reached the pinnacle of the junior series in 2014 when he was crowned champion of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. His dominant campaign featured six victories and four podiums, performance that opened the doors to the Moto3 World Championship for the following season.

Racing Career

Martín's entry into the Moto3 World Championship in 2015 marked the beginning of his Grand Prix career. He spent several seasons honing his skills in the lightweight class, building toward what would become a breakthrough campaign.

The 2018 season proved to be masterful for the Spanish rider, as he won the Moto3 World Championship at the Malaysian Grand Prix. His title-winning campaign was nothing short of dominant, featuring seven victories, three additional podiums, and an impressive ten pole positions that showcased both his speed and consistency throughout the year.

Following his Moto3 success, the 2019 season marked Martín's progression to Moto2 with the Red Bull KTM Ajo team. This move to the intermediate class represented the next step in his rapidly ascending career as he continued his path toward MotoGP.
