Jack Harvey

Jack Joseph Murray Harvey was born on 15 April 1993 in Britain. He discovered his passion for motorsport at an early age, beginning his kart racing career at just nine years old, setting the foundation for what would become a successful racing career that would eventually take him to the pinnacle of American open-wheel racing.

Harvey's karting career proved highly successful from the outset. In 2006, he captured the MSA Super One British title by a single point margin and won the Kartmasters British Grand Prix, both in the ICA-J class. His talent caught the attention of international teams, leading to a move to the Italian Maranello team in 2007.

The 2007 season marked Harvey's breakthrough on the European stage in the newly created KF3 category. He dominated the competition, winning four major trophies: the Andrea Margutti Trophy, another Kartmasters title, the Italian Open Masters championship, and crowned his season by becoming European Champion in KF3.

Harvey continued his upward trajectory in 2008, signing with the Birel Motorsport team as a KF2 driver and capturing the Asia-Pacific Championship, further establishing his credentials as one of karting's rising stars.

The transition to formula racing came in 2009 when Harvey joined the Formula BMW Europe series with Fortec Motorsport. As a member of the Racing Steps Foundation, which supports young British drivers in national and international series, Harvey finished seventh overall in the championship. His season highlights included a victory at the Masters of Formula 3-supporting round at Zandvoort and pole positions at both Zandvoort and Monza. These achievements earned him recognition from the British Racing Drivers' Club, who inducted him into their prestigious 'Rising Star' initiative.

Harvey's talent was recognized at the highest level when he became a member of McLaren's Young Driver Programme, demonstrating his potential to reach the top levels of motorsport. He eventually made his way to the IndyCar Series, where he now competes part-time driving the No. 24 Chevrolet for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing with Cusick Motorsports.

Beyond his driving duties, Harvey has also taken on the role of pit reporter, showcasing his versatility and deep understanding of the sport from multiple perspectives. His career represents a successful transition from British karting prodigy to IndyCar competitor, maintaining his connection to motorsport through both driving and media roles.
