Diogo Moreira
Early Life

Born on April 23, 2004, Diogo Moreira Nascimento began his motorcycle career in motocross in his native Brazil. At just 13 years old, recognizing the need for greater opportunities to advance his racing career, Moreira made the significant decision to relocate to Spain in 2017, leaving behind his homeland to pursue his motorsport ambitions on European circuits.
Junior Career
Moreira's European journey began in earnest in 2019 when he made his debut in the Talent Cup of the CEV International Championship. His maiden season showed immediate promise, securing one victory and three additional podium finishes to claim sixth place in the championship standings.
Progressing through the ranks, he stepped up to the Moto3 class of the CEV Championship in 2020. Though the transition proved challenging, with a fifth-place finish as his best result and an eleventh-place championship finish, Moreira remained committed to his development. He continued in the same category for 2021, again finishing eleventh in the standings as he honed his skills on the competitive European stage.
Racing Career
Moreira's perseverance through the junior categories culminated in his breakthrough 2025 season, where he achieved the pinnacle of Moto2 success by claiming the World Championship. This historic achievement made him the first Brazilian rider ever to win a championship in any class of Grand Prix motorcycle racing, etching his name in the sport's history books.
His championship success earned him promotion to MotoGP's premier class, securing a coveted seat with LCR Honda for the 2026 season.
