Darrell Wallace Jr.
Racing Career

Darrell Wallace Jr. began his NASCAR journey through Toyota's driver development program, where he gained experience driving part-time for Joe Gibbs Racing in the Xfinity Series and full-time for Kyle Busch Motorsports in the Camping World Truck Series. This foundation provided him with crucial experience across NASCAR's national touring series.
Wallace later transitioned to Ford's driver development program, competing full-time for Roush Fenway Racing in the Xfinity Series. His breakthrough to the Cup Series came when he was called upon to drive select races for Richard Petty Motorsports in their iconic No. 43 as an injury replacement for Aric Almirola.
When Almirola departed the team, Wallace secured his first full-time Cup Series ride, continuing to pilot the famous No. 43 for Richard Petty Motorsports. He has since moved to 23XI Racing, where he currently drives the No. 23 Toyota Camry XSE full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series.
Throughout his career, Wallace has held the distinction of being the only full-time Black American driver competing in NASCAR's three national series - Cup, Xfinity, and Truck - during each year he has participated in them, representing significant diversity in the sport.
