Early Life

Born on April 3, 2002, in São Paulo, Brazil, Caio Jotta Collet's path into motorsport began in his home city. Growing up in Brazil's largest metropolis, Collet would eventually make the transition from the streets of São Paulo to racing circuits around the world, beginning his single-seater career in 2018.
Junior Career
Collet's meteoric rise through the junior formulae began in 2018 when he captured the French F4 championship title in his debut single-seater season. This impressive start caught the attention of the motorsport world and opened doors to higher categories.
He progressed to the Formula Renault Eurocup for the 2019 and 2020 seasons, showing consistent improvement that culminated in a runner-up finish in 2020. His success in Formula Renault earned him recognition from the Alpine Academy and the prestigious Winfield Racing School, both of which he became associated with during his development years.
From 2021 to 2023, Collet competed in the highly competitive FIA Formula 3 championship, where he claimed three race victories over his three-season campaign. This experience in Formula 3, widely regarded as a crucial stepping stone to Formula 1, further honed his skills against some of the world's most promising young talents.
Racing Career
Collet's transition to American open-wheel racing began in 2024 when he joined HMD Motorsports to compete in Indy NXT, the primary feeder series to IndyCar. His debut season proved highly successful, finishing third in the championship standings and demonstrating his adaptability to oval racing and American motorsport culture.
Building on his strong debut, Collet improved to runner-up in the Indy NXT championship the following year, positioning himself as one of the most promising prospects for IndyCar graduation. His consistent performances caught the attention of A. J. Foyt Racing, leading to his opportunity in the IndyCar Series.
Simultaneously, Collet maintained connections to international motorsport through his role as reserve and simulator driver for the Nissan Formula E Team. This dual-series involvement culminated in his Formula E debut at the 2024 Portland ePrix, showcasing his versatility across different racing disciplines and his ability to adapt to cutting-edge electric racing technology.
