Alexander Rossi
Early Life

Born Alexander Michael "Alex" Rossi on September 25, 1991, the American racing driver was born and raised in Nevada City, California. Rossi began his racing career in the United States before making the bold decision to move to Europe as a teenager to pursue his Formula One ambitions.
Junior Career
Rossi's European journey led him through the developmental GP2 Series, where he demonstrated his potential with four race victories. He secured his first GP2 win driving for EQ8 Caterham Racing in 2013, before enjoying his most successful GP2 campaign in 2015 with Racing Engineering, claiming three more victories that season.
His impressive GP2 performances earned him opportunities as a test and development driver for Formula One teams Caterham F1 and Marussia F1, providing crucial experience at motorsport's highest level.
Racing Career
Rossi achieved his Formula One dream in 2015, making his debut with the renamed Manor Marussia F1 Team. He competed in five Grands Prix that season, including a memorable home race appearance at the United States Grand Prix, where he delivered his best F1 result with a 12th-place finish.
Unable to secure a full-time Formula One seat for 2016, Rossi made a career-defining decision to return to American racing. Joining the IndyCar Series with a team combining resources from Andretti Autosport and Bryan Herta Autosport, he immediately made history by winning the 2016 Indianapolis 500 as a rookie, finishing 11th in the championship standings.
Continuing with Andretti in 2017, Rossi added a second IndyCar victory at Watkins Glen International, marking his first road course win in the series. His career reached new heights during 2018 and 2019, which stand as his most successful IndyCar seasons to date, finishing second and third respectively in the Drivers' Championship point standings.
Beyond IndyCar, Rossi has proven his versatility in endurance racing, capturing victory at the prestigious 24 Hours of Daytona in 2021 with Wayne Taylor Racing. He currently competes in the IndyCar Series for Ed Carpenter Racing.
