The V-Híd Rally Hungary 2024, held from April 12 to April 14 in Veszprém, has concluded with a mix of excitement and intense competition. This year’s rally featured a total length of 834.96 km, with 192.43 km of that dedicated to rally stages on gravel.
The event played a crucial role in the European Rally Championship (ERC), highlighting talents across various categories including ERC, ERC3, ERC4, and the Junior ERC.
"Winning the ERC is a significant milestone for our team, and we are thrilled with our performance throughout the rally," said the victorious ERC driver. Their sentiment echoed among other competitors who faced the rapid-fire stages designed to test their rallying mettle.
Localfixer Kft. and Laroco MSC partnered for the organisation of this year’s rally, ensuring every detail was meticulously planned. The competitors faced numerous challenges, particularly with the demanding gravel terrain that projected various levels of difficulty.
In the ERC3 category, the competition was fierce. "Every stage was a battle, but our strategy paid off in the end," remarked the ERC3 category winner. Their performance reflected the resilience and skill required to navigate the technical aspects of the course.
Additionally, the ERC4 category found champions amongst rising stars eager to establish themselves in the rallying world. "I'm incredibly proud of our team, we prepared extensively for this, and it all came together perfectly," the ERC4 winner stated, highlighting the importance of teamwork in such events.
The Junior ERC section also drew attention, showcasing the future talents of rally driving. "The opportunity to compete at this level is invaluable, and I’m grateful for the experience and support I've received," noted the young driver who clinched the Junior ERC title.
Furthermore, the M-Sport Fiesta Rally3 Trophy saw significant participation, stimulating interest among teams focused on Porsche’s junior rally product. "The Fiesta offers a fantastic platform for development, and we showed what we can do," said another competitor proudly.
Among other cups, the Pirelli International Gravel Cup saw several teams vying for top positions, with many drivers reinforcing their stakes in the championship. "Every aspect of vehicle performance mattered on these gravel stages, and we optimized our setup to make it count," emphasized one of the top contenders from the Gravel Cup.
As the event wrapped up, the V-Híd Rally Hungary 2024 not only crowned champions but also fostered camaraderie and sportsmanship among the rally community. "This rally has a rich history and we are honored to be part of it," concluded an event official, encapsulating the essence of the gathering.
