"Finishing fourth in my second season is a big step for me. I feel ready to challenge for higher positions next year," said Acosta. His teammate Francesco Bagnaia finished just behind him in fifth.
Fabio di Giannantonio from the VR46 team also made his mark, finishing sixth overall in the season rankings. With a competitive season under his belt, di Giannantonio expressed pride in his performance: "I’ve learned a lot this year; I’m excited to build on this in the future."
Franco Morbidelli, his teammate, encountered misfortune when he crashed during the warm-up lap, which showcased the unpredictable nature of the sport. In addition, Fermin Aldeguer, who secured a Grand Prix victory this season, earned the title of Rookie of the Year. "Winning Rookie of the Year is a huge honor, and I can't wait to take it up another notch next season," Aldeguer commented.
As the season concluded, Fabio Quartararo emerged as the leading Yamaha rider, finishing in ninth place during what marked a crucial transition year for the team. He remarked, "It’s been a tough year, but I believe we’ve laid the groundwork for a strong comeback next season."
The competition among brands is fierce, with Johann Zarco of LCR Honda finishing as the top-performing Honda rider in twelfth. He expressed optimism for the future: "There’s a lot of potential in our team, and I believe we can improve significantly."
