ZIONSVILLE, Ind. — Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing (RLL) made a significant announcement on October 9, 2024, revealing that 21-year-old Louis Foster, the reigning INDY NXT champion, will join the team for a multi-year deal in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. Foster recently showcased his talent in the INDY NXT series, dominating the 2024 season with a total of eight victories.

Foster's impressive 2024 INDY NXT season measures up with a high degree of success: he won eight of the 14 races; led the series in poles with seven and podium finishes with twelve; and completed every lap through the season. His championship triumph saw him outperform Jacob Abel of Abel Motorsports by a substantial 122 points. This new opportunity follows Foster's previous title win in the 2022 Indy Pro 2000 Series, solidifying his status as a top talent in the racing arena.
Testing the waters for his future in INDYCAR, Foster had his first encounter with an Indy car in September 2023 at Road America, piloting for Andretti Global. RLL is currently organizing Foster's test opportunities to prepare him adequately for the 2025 season, with plans for further testing later this year.
The 2025 NTT INDYCAR SERIES is set to start on March 2, with the Firestone Grand Prix on the Streets of St. Petersburg, Florida. The season promises an exhilarating slate of events, culminating in the iconic Indianapolis 500 on May 26 and concluding in Nashville on August 31. The competition will be broadcast live on FOX and the INDYCAR Radio Network.

Foster's journey in motorsport began in Odiham, England, where he was born on July 27, 2003. Starting karting at the age of nine, he quickly progressed through local championships and made a mark early in his career by winning titles in both the 2013 and 2015 seasons. His foray into car racing began in 2017, where he showcased his potential in the Ginetta Junior Championship and went on to win the rookie championship in the Ginetta Junior Winter Series that same year.
