In an exhilarating showdown at the Dunlop Super2 Series in Sydney this past Sunday, Lochie Dalton emerged victorious in Race 2, showcasing his talent and determination amidst fierce competition. The race unfolded at Eastern Creek on February 22, 2026, where Dalton not only took home the win but also clocked the fastest lap after starting from pole position.
"The goal was to be consistent and quick all weekend, and I’m stoked to not just win but also to get those valuable points that push me ahead in the standings," said Dalton, the Blanchard Racing Team driver, highlighting the importance of this win.
Despite Dalton's strong qualification, his start left much to be desired. Ben Gomersall capitalized on this, launching off the line to establish an early lead. "I got a really good start. It felt like everything came together perfectly at the beginning," Gomersall reflected on his initial pace that saw him lead by a notable six-car length margin into the first corner.

Once the race resumed, Dalton did not falter. He extended his lead to 3.0 seconds over Gomersall. "I was just trying to focus on my own pace and not get distracted by what was happening behind me," Dalton noted, emphasizing his strategy to maintain control.

Gomersall finished second, with Morris clinching the final podium spot, albeit after the adjustment of his penalty, coming in just ahead of Reuben Goodall.
