"I just had a great car today, and the crew did an incredible job preparing for this race," said Kyle Larson, emphasizing the teamwork that fueled his success. His victory in Miami brings him one step closer to securing his position in the championship chase.
Following Larson was Layne Riggs, who finished in second place, completing all laps with a commendable effort. Riggs started from the fourth position and pushed hard to finish with 48 points. “It was a solid day for us, but Kyle was just too strong out there,” Riggs reflected, acknowledging Larson's superiority in the race.
Corey Heim secured the third podium spot, showcasing potential throughout the race. Starting from pole position, Heim led 54 laps before ultimately finishing with 39 points. "I felt like we had a shot at it, but we just couldn't keep up with Kyle in the end," Heim stated, highlighting his team's competitive spirit and resilience.
Tyler Ankrum and Daniel Hemric rounded out the top five, both finishing on the same lap as the leaders, underscoring the competitive nature of the event. Tyler Ankrum, who started in sixth place, admitted, "We had strong pacing all race long, but we need to work on our speeds to keep up with the front runners."
The race saw an intense battle for position among multiple competitors. Notably, Ross Chastain took sixth place, despite a less-than-ideal start from the seventh position, showcasing his ability to navigate the chaotic racing environment. “It was a tough race, but we managed to stay out of trouble and finished strong,” Chastain shared.
Despite their best efforts, several notable drivers struggled to find their rhythm. Kaden Honeycutt, starting from the 13th position, managed a respectable finish in 10th, while multi-time champion Matt Crafton could only manage 13th from 23rd on the grid. Crafton remarked, "It was a tough outing for us, but we learned a lot that we can build on for the next race."
The race highlighted not only Larson’s dominance but also the evenly matched competition in the series. The event featured multiple manufacturers, with Chevrolet showing strength by securing five of the top ten placements, followed by Ford and Toyota.
