The Formula 1 Commission recently convened for its second meeting this year, where it achieved consensus on several minor refinements to the regulations set for the 2025 season. With an agenda focused on regulatory updates and planning for the future, the meeting was chaired by FIA Single-Seater Director Nikolas Tombazis and F1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali, and took place both at the FIA's Geneva offices and virtually.
"These discussions are crucial for ensuring the integrity and competitiveness of our sport," said Tombazis, underscoring the significance of the regulatory updates. The gathering addressed essential matters influencing the racing landscape and aimed to enhance the overall experience for teams and drivers.

Among the notable adjustments was the finalization of the mandatory two-stop strategy set to be implemented during the Monaco Grand Prix. This requirement aims to create more dynamic racing strategies and increase viewer engagement. "It’s important for us to maintain the excitement in Monaco, and we believe this strategy will add to that atmosphere," expressed an F1 executive involved in the discussions.

The commission deliberated on regulatory updates concerning parc ferme allowances as well. A specific amendment was made to clarify the rules applicable when a driver opts not to wear the cooling vest, a move seen as necessary given the extreme conditions often faced during races.
