In Race 23, the stakes were equally high, with Jamie Whincup starting from pole position. He posted a qualifying time of 1:10.3169, leading him and co-driver Paul Dumbrell to a commanding win. Whincup crossed the finish line in 2 hours, 9 minutes, and 10 seconds, proving once again the prowess of Triple Eight Race Engineering in mastering the Surfers Paradise circuit. “We had a great car today; the team did an outstanding job, and it all came together perfectly,” Whincup expressed after the race.
